The present work aimedto determine the quantitativescreening of phytochemicalsandAntioxidant activity of Allophylus serratus fruit aqueous extract (A.S.Fr.). Results showedthepresence of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, alkaloids, phenols and proteinsin the extract and showed antioxidant capacity with high amounts of Totalphenolic content(63.60 ±0.88 mgGAEg-1),Total flavonoid content (44.51 ±0.46 mg QEg-1). The radical scavenging activity measurement, done byDPPHassay (EC50. =29.24 ± 0.18 μg/mL) and ABTS assay(EC50. = 21.64 ± 1.35 μg/mL) revealedthat, fruits of Allophylus serratusfound to bepotential source of naturalantioxidantsandtherefore, recommended for utilization as naturalnutritionalsupplementedmedicinewhichsupportedthe traditionalclaimby herbal healers.
